"I’m glad I stood up for my community and we actually made them change. Stuff like this happens ALL the time for disabled creators..."
“One of my disabled influencer friends’ images had been stolen by a company supposedly supporting disabled creators, but when she had asked them to credit her for an image and asked them why they hadn’t asked her permission, they blocked her… We all rallied and shared the content… Eventually the company reached out, apologised and said they’d fired the social media manager for practices they didn’t agree with. All creators received personal apologies… I’m glad I stood up for my community and we actually made them change. Stuff like this happens ALL the time for disabled creators, by companies, many without any knowledge.” – Female, 42, QLD - Julia
